Abstract of the Project:

More than 50% of CEE and SEE countries’ population is living in the villages, communes and small towns (VCST).

The digital paisant/handicraftman is the base of the Rural e-Economy, which is supporting the New Competitive Knowledge Economy.

The PEC-concept (Penetration-Eruption-Capture) is the method proposed to create a rapid growth of the Rural Digital Economy easy to be integrated into the European e-Economy.

An e-platform with easy-to-use e-tools will be created for persons, family companies, SMEs. It will increase the interconnectability/interoperability of the cybercommunity.

The Rural Business Centers-RBCs, both physical and virtual, networked at local and European level, represent the best solution and mechanism to accelerate the process of Integration, Enlargement and Development of the Knowledge Society for All.

The best practice of CAT in creating and developing physical-virtual business centers, could be extended to large European Consortiums formed by 10-12 countries both EU and in accession: http://e-cat.ro/e-peasant.html
