CAT supports the research oriented companies, especialy those for marketing, ICT , industrial and fashion design. CAT encourage the SMEs to create, innovate and bring into the area the newest equipments, technologies, ideas and know how.

The innovative capacity of CAT and its companies rised continuesly because of our traditions in research, education, vocational education and culture, the competitive environment and Internet connection.

Every staff member of CAT performs an activity of research-design and implementation of the new ICT technologies, building-up data bases, studies, analyses and development projects.

We created CATexpert, a program for supporting, placing and using specialists and researchers coming from different domains.

Our center was invited by the WORLD BANK at the foundation of the Global Development Network, during the GDN'99 Conference, in Bonn, Germany. So, we bring our contribution at the setting up of an international network and we also keep develop relations with all the 450 participants from 120 countries: researchers, businessmen, politicians, financers and other personalities.

We participate at the activities of IST-International Society Technologies, program created by the European Commision. At IST'99 Conference-Helsinki, dr.Radu-Adrian Mlesnita presented on-line the result of investigations regarding the construction of the first Transylvanian Electronic Market. We keep the contact with the partcipants, project responables, country co-ordonators and the officials from European Commission. CAT was invited to IST’ 2000 and 2001 and gave its contribution to these important Conferences, for the development of the Knowledge Society.

Our research and results were presented to the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development - UNRISD and United Nations Industrial Development Organisation - UNIDO.
 

The Stockholm Challange invited CAT to take part to the international competition. We participated with other 420 competitors, submiting an idea developed since 1995: "The transformation of a real business center into a virtual one (the model CAT-E-CAT) for supporting the small and medium sized companies."

CAT is part of the research, development and implementation EU-Consortiums for IST projects such as ViVa, ENERGIA and LIRIC.

CATresearch is an activity supported by the organisation's budget, donations from the member companies and EU grants.
