Total value: 48.200 EURO, from which: Phare-Europe grant: 32.000 EURO and CAT - 16.200 EURO.
Transylvania Business Center (CAT) submitted to the Delegation of European Commission in Romania the project (no. 9021/01.10.1999/Programme Phare - EUROPA) approved for co-financing (Delegation of European Commission in Romania, no. 1684/20.04.2000).
After the signing of the grant contract the following activities were realized:
1. Transylvania Business Center started a promotion campaign of the BRE-Business link program to 3,000 companies from the Nord-West of the country. The presentation materials were send through mail.
The data base with companies from this part of the country was mainly finished. It contains more than 5,000 companies in different fields of activity. These companies will receive the invitation to benefit of this project.
2. The promotion materials were designed and realized: two banners (by Vitrina Felix Media and Viking), the presentation brochures (by PrintArt), exposed in very good locations (Mihai Viteazu Square and the Municipal Stadium). Also have been produced cooperation profiles (by Vlady's), letters and envelopes with the new logo (by GPV), business cards (by Elite Promotion), advertising (Domus Magazine).
CAT's home page was changed and the new logo, containing elements of the EC logo, was placed on it (http://e-cat.ro).

New developments have been posted on a special site dedicated to the

3. Equipment: A laptop was ordered from CG&GC Toshiba after receiving
offers from different companies.
CAT informed the local business community about the grant contract signed with the Delegation of the European Commission in Romania concerning the BREuropa project, under the Phare-Europa Program. 900 newsletters have been send by direct mail to our associated companies and other companies from the region. Starting September visits to the companies were paid and new co-operation profiles were filled up.
The seminars are starting in October and the first one will be held in Alba Iulia, on the 5th of October.
The Business link department prepared a report concerning how many reactions were received from the Romanian companies, how many co-operation profiles have been filled in and registered on the EU data base BRE, how many reactions were received from the potential partners from European Union.
